During the first year of the Emerging Media masters program, I completed a course called Media Interaction Design and Usability. This course allows students experience in iterative design and prototyping for digital interfaces, and teaches students how to design based on empirical standards and usability considerations.
As part of my coursework in Media Interaction Design & Usability, I worked with a group of my classmates to conduct a user research study on the website of Grady Newsource, a student-run broadcast news platform run out of the Grady College. This presentation summarizes our findings and includes recommendations for future web development.
